THE COTTAGE

The Cottage has the following amenities:

  • Two bedrooms, one with a Queen-sized bed (Zambia Room) and the other with two Single-sized beds (Zimbabwe Room) each room booked separately

  • Free wifi

  • An en-suite bathroom, with bath and shower, between the two bedrooms with lockable doors 

  • A fully-equipped kitchen with refrigerator, microwave oven,  2 hot-plates, basic condiments and tea and coffee making facilities

  • Portable fan in the lounge/kitchen area

  • Air-conditioning in the lounge and Zambia Room areas

  • Fly screens on most windows and doors,

  • All linen and towels

  • Reference books on reptiles, birds, butterflies, insects, bats and plants are available in the main house

  • A selection of novels

Getting Here

The closest airport to Ngorongoro Lodge is

Cairns Airport. We can

arrange pick up from Cairns Airport for your convenience.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast is included.  There is a choice of American or Muesli, yoghurt and fruit along with tea/coffee and toast.

WI-FI

FREE WiFi.  It is easier to connect when in the lounge

BBQ

A very small George Forman BBQ is available to use

AIRPORT TRANSFER

The charge one way for an airport pickup is $60.  The cost for a ride into Kuranda from our accommodation is $10 return.

GARDEN

There is a rainforest bush track along our creek, but it is best to be accompanied on this by one of the hosts

GYM

Please advise if you wish to use the Gym.  All equipment should be returned to the original position 

POOL

Pool hours are from 12 noon to 5pm.  Please note rules which are on the house wall next to the pool.

AIRCONDITIONING

Air conditioning is provided in the lounge and the Zambian Room and if the lounge door is left open the cooled air will filter through to the Zimbabwean Room

JUNGLE WALK

Please advise if you wish to take a Jungle Walk.  Gumboots can be provided depending on foot size
