Check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request.
Breakfast is included in your overnight rate.
Due to current Queensland food regulations, and because our property is home to many pet parrots, we are unable to prepare cooked breakfasts on site. Instead, we provide a thoughtfully arranged breakfast tray delivered to your cottage in the late afternoon, allowing you to enjoy breakfast the following morning at a time that suits you.
You may choose between:
- Bacon, eggs and tomato, or
- Muesli, yoghurt and fresh fruit.
Both options are accompanied by toast and orange juice. Any items requiring refrigeration can be stored overnight in the cottage kitchen fridge..
If you would prefer a fully cooked breakfast, there are several excellent cafes in Kuranda that open early and are just a short distance away.
Parking is free and is to be found to the right hand side of the African Gateway just off the road. There is no space to park down the driveway or in front of the garage.
We do not allow pets at the lodge due to the sensitive rainforest environment and native wildlife.
Free cancellation is available up until a week prior to the first night of the booking.

Kuranda Ngorongoro Lodge is located in the beautiful rainforest environment of Kuranda. While this natural setting offers a peaceful and unique experience, it also means that some accessibility limitations may exist.
To help guests plan their stay comfortably, please note the following:
Access to the Cottage
• The guest cottage is located a short distance from the main house.
• Access is via a driveway and terracing which are slightly uneven in places due to the natural landscape.
Steps
• There are a small number of steps and also a gradual rise leading into the cottage.
Parking
• On-site parking is available close to the cottage for guest convenience.
Bathroom Facilities
• The bathroom is a standard residential design and does include specialised accessibility fittings such as grab rails. The shower has a very small overstep.
Natural Environment
• As the property is surrounded by rainforest, guests may encounter natural features such as uneven ground, wildlife and birds.
